What an inspiring conversation that was!

When I first connected with @Lisa after @Maktuno Suit recommended Whatever Next?, I expected an interesting chat about transformation. What I didn’t expect was to find a kindred spirit — someone who shares the same conviction that true transformation begins and ends with people.

Lisa and I discovered not only our shared history as early pioneers of the MI and OLAP era (yes, the 90s data geeks! 😄), but also a shared passion for challenging the traditional playbook — the one that treats transformation as a sequence of deliverables rather than a human experience.

Her book Whatever Next? captures so many of the core principles that underpin the CWC People-First approach — courage to ask difficult questions, wisdom to see beyond the process, and compassion to truly engage the people behind the change. It brings these ideas to life through real-world examples and heartfelt stories that remind us why transformation that’s more human and more honest is the only kind that really sticks.

Conversations like this remind me why CWC exists — to balance structure with humanity, to replace jargon with clarity, and to bring connection back into the business-technology relationship.

Thank you, Lisa, for such an energising and affirming conversation. I’m really looking forward to exploring how we might collaborate and bring these shared principles to life together in the very near future.

And yes — don’t you just love the people you meet along the way?
